Safina Party Presidential Aspirant Jimi Wanjigi while speaking at the UDA National Delegates conference held today at the Kasarani Stadium warned Kenyans to be very cautious of leaders who do not keep their word as it would directly them, the common mwananchi.
“Nataka Kuwaambia wananchi wa Kenya hivi, mkiona viongozi wakitemwa, ni nyinyi mnatemwa.” He said.
Mr. Wanjigi also took the audience through the strong friendship he has shared with Deputy President William Ruto that began in 2006 when he met the then MP for Eldoret North.
He then urged Kenyans to stand up against the politics of oppression and let their voices be heard at the ballot.
” We must be very clear, we are coming together on ideas of the people of Kenya; not on families.” He added
As he concluded, Jimi mentioned his plans to vie For the presidential seat on a Safina Party ticket. Although he was in talks with the UDA flag bearer his ambitions still stand unshaken.
“We are talking, but it is important to understand my ambitions are still going forward but we are talking.” Said Jimi.
He also invited Deputy President William Ruto to the Safina NDC on the 21st of March 2022.
