“Allow freshness to sip in our country.” Hon Jimi Wanjigi tells Kenyans

The Safina Party presidential candidate, Hon. Jimi Wanjigi shared his epiphany and purpose for joining the presidential race despite his successful business career.

“We (The Safina Party) are clear about the challenges the country faces today and the country faces tomorrow. We have decided to stick out our neck to create a new paradigm shift, a systematic change to the 60 years you have known Kenya as.” Said Hon. Wanjigi while on an interview at Spice FM’s morning drive show, The Situation Room on Thursday, march 24th 2022 at 8:00 am.

He compared his vision to that of Paul Muite, Kenneth Matiba, Jomo Kenyatta and Dedan Kimathi who sacrificed their personal comfort to fight for the Human rights and democracy of the people of Kenya. The presidential candidate believes his God-given purpose and the success he has achieved, was not only meant for him and his family, but for him to do better for mankind and impart more capacities and make life better for those he has found.

“My purpose in life is greater than self” he said.

Safina Party Presidential Aspirant Hon. Jimi Wanjigi

Calling this a revolutionary moment, the presidential candidate explained how we are in the process of ‘resetting what we know as Kenya, an “Itwika” moment!’ He added that we need a government that is ‘full on growth’, an accountable governing system that will change completely from what we know and are used to in the past years.

He attributed joining The Safina Party to of the principles and pro-democratic ideals the party held. He shared the same ideologies with the party.

“Safina represents an Ark, Noah’s ark, to save the people. It is revolutionary and that is who am. I am a revolutionary.” Said the Safina Party flag bearer.

He expressed his lack of confidence in the Jubilee government which has never carried an economic agenda that has succeeded, repeatedly failing Kenyans after every election. Hon. Jimi then called on the Kenyan citizens to judge leaders on ideas.

“We have clarity of ideas. We have clarity of what the revolution is. It is not sloganeering.” He said.

In his revolution, the Safina Party flag bearer mentioned the different strategies his government aims to implement. The first step is to rescue the people from the current social and economic disaster in the country. Addressing the debt problem through audits, boosting productivity and growth, dealing with inequality of income and governance and service delivery are the structures he will put in place to liberate Kenyans from the economic oppression we face.

“The potential of East Africa being a digital hub is probably going to be the 9th largest in the world. The hub can create opportunities for our very creative young men and women in this part of the world to the extent of creating 2 million jobs.” Hon. Jimi Wanjigi said, as he added job creation to the structures he has in place for Kenyans.

He finished by calling on Kenyans to embrace this ‘Itwika’ moment. This moment of change

“Where we are now is a time to break from the past and allow freshness to sip in our country.” The presidential candidate concluded.
