Fearless Hon. Jimi Wanjigi dares the president to a political contest

Safina Party Presidential Candidate Hon. Jimi Wanjigi visited Sifa Gardens-Kutus, Kirinyaga to meet with Aspirants & Kirinyaga opinion leaders on the 22nd of March 2022 . He emphasized on a peaceful election after the people of Kenya decide on the 9th of August asking his opponents to accept defeat and pack their bags.

Hon. Wanjigi rebuked the current government which has betrayed its citizens after asking for their help 10 years ago promising to make their lives easier, something he also experienced in his former party. He warned the citizens to be cautious of the personalities and personality cults that want to keep in control of the country’s leadership behind the curtains which is detrimental to our economy.

 “Walisema (Jubilee), wananchi wakiwasaidia wao kufa na kupona watawasaidia wanainchi wa Kenya. Sasa ni Miaka 10, mumesaidika kweli? Nchi imesonga mbele au nyuma?” he posed to a cheering gathering.

Hon. Jimi also made a vow with the people to stop the current government from having more time in power saying that he is not afraid to send the current president back home to Gatundu, come the August 9th elections.

Quoting today’s dailyhe said that the country is unable to pay the debts borrowed from foreign bodies blaming the government for the poor economic decisions and policies it formed with no guidance for the future.

“Wananchi mjue serekali ni nyinyi, serekali ikikosa pesa, nyinyi haimwezi kuwa na pesa!” he said in Swahili.

The presidential candidate rubbished Raila Odinga’s handout of  Ksh. 6,000 to every Kenyan calling this a hoax based on the poor economic state of the country. Being an experienced and successful businessman, Hon. Jimi is ready to bring economic liberation to the people after the first step which is sweeping out (Fagia wote) the old order on 9th August then moving on to the second step after that.

Hon. Jimi Wanjigi promised the people of Kirinyaga to create an Export Processing Zone (epz) for cloth production after reviving the cotton farming in the area which is a profitable venture. He asked the incoming Governor to revive the dead  ginnery and begin the manufacturing of cotton clothes in the county. This should create employment opportunities for the youth and economic security for the people.

The presidential aspirant called for an Itwika moment as he concluded and asked the people to be ready as the people during Noah’s time when he created an ark to save the people from the floods. Safina is the Ark that will save the people from a tsunami and flood set to hit the nation politically.

According to the 2017 IEBC records, Kirinyaga County has 113,784 as the total number of registered voters. There are 7,526 new registered voters from the recently concluded voter mass registration.
